    Description

Offering a small early 1900's original grain painted tin and glass sewing spool display cabinet from an old New England country store, retaining its original paper color & size thread indicator (which is remarkable in itself!), original interior tin dividers, original hinges, original glass panels and original red & black grain paint.  The piece remains in excellent condition with only minor scuffs and scratches.  No damage, breaks or repairs to the 2 original glass panels.  The top glass panel slopes upwards for perfect viewing and flips open for the correct selection of thread.  Several sewing spools are included.  Provenance:  Taken right off the counter of a Vermont general store that was closed some 50 years ago.  Measures 10" wide X 5 1/2" deep X 6 1/2" high.  The piece will be double-boxed with extra insurance added.
