    THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN THE BRONZE END FOR A LANCE OR SPEAR.  4.5" LONG. SEE PHOTOS FOR CONDITION. YOU COULD ATTACH TO A WOOD SHAFT IF YOU WISH TO MAKE IT AUTHENTIC.

    FYI- this is a bronze "dun"- the foot of a spear or ge (Chinese battle axe). You can tell it was for a ge because the pole was oval in cross section. A spear pole has a round cross section because it doesn't matter which side is up, but with an axe (ge) it is important that the blade side strike the target, so the oval pole shape helps to keep the ge stable in the hand and pointing in the right direction while striking. The ge blade would point towards the narrow part of the oval, so the narrow side is towards the "front" of the ge.
