Antique Chinese scabbard slide in black and white jade from Ming Dynasty

Description

One of the ancient 4 jade fittings to hold swords against the belt. Presumably from Ming Dynasty with its depiction of earlier eras' motif which said to be common from Ming Dynasty to Qing Dynasty. During this time, the slides were created to use as brush rests on a scholar’s table instead as the sword slides were gradually phasing out. Can also be used as a pendant to a necklace. Very good antique condition with a small crack that is not noticeable. Comes with certificate done in Japan in 1979. Pictures taken under different lights to show nephrite jade color and condition.
