    Description

Flake Magazine was a fanzine produced by Scott Bruce in the early 1990s.  Collectors of cereal boxes, collectors of premiums distributed in cereal and people interested in the nostalgia of their youth were Bruce’s prime targets.
This lot contains the following eight issues –
---Issue #1 discusses the 25 best cereal boxes of all time.
---Issue #2 discusses the Jay Ward studios and their creations including Rocky and Bullwinkle, Dudley Do Right, Cap’n Crunch and others.
---Issue #3 is the Hanna Barbera special showing the cartoon studio’s long standing relationship with Kellogg’s, Post and other cereal manufacturers.
---Issue #4 examines Disney’s relationship with the cereal industry and displays 35 classic cereal boxes showing the Disney characters.
---Issue #8 depicts 45 Blast Off Boxes, boxes containing characters such as Buck Rogers, the Thunderbirds, the cast of Star Trek and Star Wars and others.
---Issue #11 examines Looney Tunes’ characters such as Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd and Porky Pig appearing on Post cereal boxes.
---Issue #14 is devoted to the oft forgotten Ralston Purina / Checkerboard Farms cereal manufacturer and shows boxes with characters such as Charlie Brown from Peanuts, Casper, G I Joe and Batman.
---Issue #15 shows cereals made by the Nabisco company included their mainstay, Shredded Wheat.
