  • Condition: Great pre-owned vintage condition. A few tiny fleabites around edges of cups (I grouped them together to show all at once...see last photo). One saucer has a small chip on side. No stains, cracks or repairs. Normal wear to bottoms. A small dimple here and there from the firing process and some wear noted on painted pattern in some areas.

    Fantastic set of
    Greek ceramic (
    5) demitasse cups and (3) saucers h
    and painted and signed by a
    rtist D. Vassilopoulos.
    The bottom of the saucers read "No. 103 N., Scene From The Painted Sarcophagus of Haghia Triada Fresco About 1400 B.C., Krete-Heraklion Museum by D. Vassilopoulos"...The bottom of the cups read "No. 103 N., Made in Greece by D. Vassilopoulos".
    The Vassilopoulos studio copied many pieces of Greek pottery.
    All have the signature of the artist and the cups & saucers have matching numbers.
