Description
Set of twelve Needle Files 16mm (6.5") longincludes two file cuts #0 and #2.
#0 has approximately 51 teeth per inch and the #2 has approximately 79 teeth per inch
Two of each: barrette, equalling, square,
triangle, knife, and round.
Needle files are used for small surfaces and getting into tight areas.
Barrette:
a tapered triangle file that fits into tight spaces, the widest side is the cutting edge, has two "safe" sides that angle sharply back
Equalling:
rectangular with parallel sides, all four sides have teeth. Double-cut on the widest sides and single cut on the thinner sides.
Square:
good general purpose file, used to score lines, for bending 90 degree angles and making round holes into square holes.
Triangle:
also known as a "three square" sides are double cut V-groove with 60 degree angle
Knife Taper:
best for filing grooves and getting into narrow areas. double-cut on two sides with the top side as the safe edge
Round:
used to enlarge holes
