Original Jugendstil Pendant Locket, 1905-1915 Germany, Silver, Hallmark

Here is an exquisite little silver locket/pendant made during the Art Nouveau period (1908 to 1918) in Germany. There, the Deco style was called "Jugendstil" which translates to "Young Style". Jugendstil can be found in architecture, jewelry, home decor and artwork. Highly collectible.
This silver pendant has unmistakable Jugendstil characteristics - curvy lines, lines of beading, geometric forms and that little spark of red ruby glass. It's marked "800" which was the silver used in Germany from the late 19thC to mid 20thC.
MEASUREMENTS:
SIZE: 1.25" L with the bail. Locket itself is 7/8th" square.
WEIGHT: 4.31 grams.
HALLMARKS: "800" for silver purity.
CONDITION: Overall, very fine estate (pre-owned) condition with age-expected wear. The locket still has it's original blue liners and the clasp opens and closes securely. Please note chain is NOT included in this sale.
TESTING: White metal acid-tested for 800 purity silver content.
