Description

Rare and complete 'run' of 22 daily musical programs from historic Willow Grove Park, PA, featuring The Ellery Band during the season of 1912 from May 25th - June 15th.  Conducted by Taddeo Di Giralamo, little is known about this ensemble whose principal players were of Italian extraction and is possible this was a company or industrial band employing a large Italian workforce.  The Ellery Band under Di Giralamo made several recordings for Columbia between 1910-1913.  Opening the Park's 1912 season only weeks following the Titanic tragedy, the Ellery Band performed 22 consecutive days playing the repertoire of their more familiar counterparts Patrick Conway and John Philip Sousa.  A lifetime of collecting would probably not afford you the opportunity to own every program from one ensemble so please consider our B-I-N option to avoid disappointment!  As these were removed from a bound volume, you can expect small thread holes, minor paper loss, tears, glue residue, and marginal chipping which does not detract from the text.  A couple of the programs have minor tears from 108 years of handling as well as toning to edges.  Programs have been grouped according the weeks, fronts and back of the opening and closing day programs, etc to give you an idea of what is included.  Besides Willow Grove Park programs with The Ellery Band, please view our additional Willow Grove program offerings including Conway and Innes.  Winner pays shipping.  PayPal payment due within two days of purchase  - thank you!  All sales final and please view our other offerings. We'll combine multiple purchases to save you $$ on shipping.  If our shipping estimate exceeds actual shipping costs, we'll refund you the difference.  Thank you for the privilege of your time and continued good health and wellness!
