What an amazing cabinet. Definitely a statement piece. Rare Antique Cutter Spool Silk Cabinet 15 Drawer Oak Glass Front. I haven’t cleaned this at all, just lightly wiped with a damp cloth. It will need some cleaning and some Old English, but it’s an incredibly beautiful piece. This is an oak 2pc set, it’s large and in charge., and heavy. I assume these are two individual, but matched spool cabinets that were stacked. My guess is you could order different units from a catalog and use as needed, much like mercantile / store cabinets. These were used by a bullet collector to store his single cartridge collection. It would be great for that or any number of other smalls you might collect. Vintage fishing lures, jewelry, the possibilities are endless. Since it’s two piece you can use them separately if you wish. Each drawer is lined with the original velvet cloth. 12 of the 15 drawers are glass front which is rare to find on spool cabinets, 3 are solid front. All original brass hardware.
