The S.t Dupont Diamonds fountain pen is an outstanding work of art, which has been set with twelve brilliant cut diamonds around the body and one further diamond has been set in the pens clip. A pen with it’s own unique construction that is assembled with a beautiful Chinese lacquer, palladium and an 18 caret gold nib. The pen has a minimum of 3 layers of lacquer, which can take 10-40 hrs of heating for each layer of lacquer to be applied. The pen can take 2-3 months to be manufactured. S.T.Dupont uses it’s exceptional goldsmithing know-how to create this pen. Every inch of this pen is spectacular. Each pen is unique thanks to an identification number that is engraved on the side of the pens clip. Your pen will come in a stunning presentation box. S. T Dupont have been manufacturing goods since 1872. They launched their spectacular pen range in 1973 and started a revolution with their first luxury ballpoint pen. The desire to write… The cap is engraved with the letter “D” on metal coated with black lacquer, symbol of exclusivity and the emblem of craftsman that has transformed an object into a work of art. It is instantly recognisable and envied: “D” for desire and “D” for delightful. It was in 1996, with the introduction of the Olympio collection that a line of ”bespoke” pens came into existence. This is haute couture: the creation of a single pen fashioned from metal entails no less than 150 operations and 200 quality control tests. Each nib is hand crafted, polished and tested by S.T Dupont experts. An S.T Dupont pen is first and foremost a work of goldsmithing excellence, with many of the procedures requiring an almost surgical precision, for example guilloche, chasing and engraving techniques. Brass sections are shaped into numerous decorative forms whose finesse and brilliance ensure their uniqueness. The subsequent application of Chinese lacquer represents the signature feature of these pens. Chinese lacquer is the liquid sap from a lacquer tree that firms in contact with the air. Chinese lacquer is a material that must be mastered, as its coloration and application require exceptional dexterity. A reflective material, lacquer gives pens extraordinary luminosity.
