The year 2009 marked the end of a historic run of 126 years of operation for the Orient Express, a long-distance passenger train service originally operating from Paris to Istanbul. Started as a normal international railway service, the name Orient Express came to be synonymous with intrigue and luxury. S.T. Dupont honors the legacy of the Orient Express with a beautiful and rather unique collection.
The Prestige fountain pen is based on Dupont's Neoclassique President body and coated in beautiful white and blue lacquer. The trimmings are done in a solid yellow gold and the body is then covered with "windows" of Mother-of-Pearl to resemble that of a real train.
To top off this remarkably unique creation, the pen is fitted with a clip that is adorned with Blue Spinel and designed to simulate smoke stacks of a train when laid on its side.
