In 1969, the State of Illinois Department of Conservation, Division of Parks and Memorials prepared and published this fascinating 12-page souvenir brochure entitled, "Giant City State Park," which describes and depicts the many unique geologic features and its scenic beauty to be found there. Acquired by the State of Illinois in 1927, Giant City is one of Illinois' largest parks occupying nearly 1,800 acres in Southern Illinois near Carbondale.  The 12-page folder also includes a map along with interior/exterior views of the Giant City State Park Lodge and cabins.  Sized at 4" by 9", the brochure brings to the attention of tourists, the Alto Pass Cross on the summit of Bald Knob Mountain which is particularly impressive when it is lighted at night.  Please add .50 postage and handling.
