Description
Vintage 1960s glazed ceramic cereal bowl. Features 1" X 1.5" images of boxes from eight different breakfast cereals which were popular in the late 1960s. Images are screened on the surface of the bowl. Unusual item because cereals are from several different breakfast cereal makers:Wheaties

Rice Krinkles
box pictures the cereal's mascot, So-Hi, who was phased out in the late 1960s after complaints that the character was racist. Bowl appears to be unused, with no chips, cracks, or scratch marks on the images in the bowl. Underside of bowl has minor wear along the edges. Top edge of bowl has gold trim. No manufacturer is identified, although the underside of the bowl is marked "Japan." Bowl is about 7" in diameter and 2.5" deep.
