14 PIECES
Lohan and Arhat are the same thing in a different language, Rakan in Japanese. For those who may not know ... an Arhat is one of the 18 followers of Buddha who each attained full
enlightenment.
I am uncertain as to whether the material is Olive Pit or other such pit as commonly used like Peach or Apricot.  As they are fruit pits/seeds, t
he beads have some natural inclusions and color variance. In this case
they are in very excellent condition overall in spite of their obvious age.
We got these as part of an estate sale several years back before we liquidated our Bead and Crafts brick and mortar store. We are just now getting around to offering this collection years later. The previous owner was a world traveling Bead collector and artist who had amassed an amazing amount of treasures from all around the World. Some very fascinating antique and vintage items with real an often intense History. We will be offering these exclusively to eBay collectors as we move through the pile. This strand consists of 18 malas, each having their own identity and aka ...  18 Arhats or the 18 Lohan. As usual there are two extra ornamental beads. The beads measures about 1-1/4  inches long.
