corinth games
A board toy for rolling balls. Many nails are planted in a wood-grained board with an oval top, and a score is written in each hole in each part of the board. Ten small iron balls are poked one by one with a small stick through the protruding hole at the bottom, rolled onto the board, and the score is scored by adding up the points that hit the holes. It was an amusement machine registered in 1910 by Caille Brothers & Co. of Detroit, USA, and was generally called a pinball game machine. In Japan, the publisher Kobayashi Nogyo marketed the game under the name Corinth Game, which is a play on the ``Corin'' (pronunciation) of the company's name, ``Kobayashi,'' and it became popular in the early Showa era.
